Hi Everyone, Thanks for the great turnout last night, August 8.
Here is kind of a summary of the meeting.
Denny Toll opened the meeting.  A directory was passed around that had all of 
the association members information.  Anything that was corrected was done by 
each member. We now have 50 members.
Bernie Neiweem was introduced.  Bernie has done all of the research for the 
association and has been in contact with the County Lake and Water 
Association, Sawyer County, and the DNR.
 (lets hope I get this right)
to get any grants we as members, needed to incorporate as a qualified lake 
association.  We would be sponsored the first year by the Land and Water 
Association, if we passed a resolution to let them sponsor us. After much 
discussion both of these were PASSED.
We are also looking for the rapid response grant so that hopefully they can 
begin treatment next March.
February 1 is the deadline for the grant appication.
We have to have an Aquatic Plant Study if we want the DNR to help support us.
The approximate cost to treat is about $400-$600 an acre and about $500 for 
the permit.  For the rapid response grant we can only do 10 acres at a time. 
The amount that we treat is up to Kristy(specialist in this marine problem)  
We are hoping for each family to only have to be assessed $100 but will have 
to see.
The chemical treatment is really the only method to us.  Treatment is usually 
done in March.
Bernie Neiweem has an EIN number and now are waiting for the official 
approval.  Hopefully by September 1, we will be able to open a bank account.  
What we pay into the association is tax deductible.
We hope to have another general meeting at the end of September or beginning 
of October.
Ten people showed an interest in being on the board, so they are all on the 
board, and amongst them officers were chosen.  Following are board members:

We adjourned after that.  Next the board members will meet with Kristy from
